Hi - I have a 2000 GTP, 135k. I replaced the inner and outer tie rods, and had the car aligned. After this, I started hearing this creaking noise which increased in frequency the faster I go. I never heard this noise before. When stopped, there's never a noise even if I try to bounce the front end. Bumps don't change the noise. I also notice when I start to turn right it goes away.
I jacked up the front end and spun both wheels - no noise. Inspected for anything which could be rubbing against the axle/CV joint and tires - also looked at brakes - all seemed ok.
It's weird that all this started after the tie rod and alignment. Weirder still, I got someone to ride with me to hear the noise and it was gone. Then when they left it came back. Could the added passenger weight have an effect?
Any opinions appreciated otherwise I'll have to start replacing things I guess
