After clearing codes the sooner light comes on when turning the key

Still working on my pos 01. it wont start; discovered today that after the codes have been cleared after pulling the battery for a while that as so as the key is turned to start the car the sooner light comes on. all car does it crank it still wont fire!
 


So from what I read, as soon as you turn the key to start the car the CEL comes back on? All the lights on the dash should come on at initial startup but then go out after the self-test cycle. If the CEL stays on then you need to have it scanned and see what the code is. The car is trying to tell you what the issue is.

Beyond that, have you verified that you have spark and fuel? Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to start?
 
Check your fuel pressure as you try to start it with a gauge. Autozone rents them. Let us know what it reads

Pull a plug out, stick the plug back in the wire and ground the threads on the motor mount. Have someone turn the car over and make sure it is sparking. If you don't have spark then could be a bad Crank sensor, ICM, ect....
