Adjust Windshield Wipers

Hey guys,
Last night, when I went to leave work, we had a little snow, and it was currently raining. I cleared most of the snow off the windsheild and make sure my wipers were not frozen in place, got in the car and turned on the wipers. They went half way up the windshield and stopped. So I started taking things apart and found the torx head screw that holds the arm onto the motor had come out. No stripped or anything. Just backed out.

So I screwed it back in, and the wipers would work, but when on intermittent, they would pause right in my line of view. But they docked correctly. But it was good enough to get home. So at home, in the garage, I took everything apart again. I tried looking online, but couldn't find anywhere to tell me how thing were supposed to go together. I know there has to be some kind of alignment for the mechanism arm to the motor, but I don't know what it is, shy of continuing to play with it.

Anyone have any ideas? In my research I found people with a problem of the wipers not docking correctly. But this is not my problem. The wipers dock correctly. But they don't operate correctly.

Yep, thats it Sabre. Its a tab on wiper arms just below the cowl. But I too dont know where the thread is, though I think Abrasive know where to look.

Thanks guys. But it is not the tab. I have read over the threads you are referring to. The bent metal tab issue is when the wipers don't park in the correct position. Mine park fine. But on intermittent will pause half way up the windshield.

I found the thread below that seems to have a similar problem with no solution.
