Adjust Projectors help??!!

crock

New member
I have spyder projectors for my 99. I Need help on figuring out how to adjust them the "Right" way. Everytime i do it, they still seem alittle off like ---___ Those are the headlights lol. I wanna know how to lift the overall projector up along with lining them up in the middle.... THANKS!!!

I did this to mine to give me more turns to adjust the light. It pushes the light out a bit. The washers to hold the headlight to the car are an option.

See that big silver threaded bolt. That is what you turn to adjust the light. I put additional washers on the bottom of the headlight bracket since that bolt was maxed out when adjusting the light up. The washers gave me more turns on that bolt and helped push the lights out a bit more.

So if you put the washers like I showed you on the photo, but only on the botom part, it will give you a few more turns. You would put these where the headlamp meets the headlamp bracket. If you put them on the top screws then you will be in the same situation as you are now. By putting them on the bottom, you are pushing the light out just a bit to give you some more turns. You can see in the photo that mine were pretty maxed out. To adjust them horizontally, there is an adjstment wheel that is accessible on the inside part of the light. Closest to the grille area. You may have to pull back some of the pastic cover to see the actual wheel to use with the screw driver.

I used this to adjust mine once I made the small modifications.
To align the projectors correctly first you need to:

1) Measure from the ground to little dot on the lens in front of projector.
2) Subtract 2.5 inches off that measurement, then make a mark on the wall, that your going to be aligning your headlights with.
3) Put your car 25 feet away from the wall trying to get as perpendicular to wall as possible.
4) Adjust the headlight so that the _______/ of the cut-off is level with your mark on the wall. And thats it for the height

For the width you measure from the middle of one projector to the other side. Take that measurement and get the step up on the cut-off 4 foot away from the other.

I could only get mine 2.5 feet away from each other before the gap between the center of the car and the corner of the headlight became too big.

If you still have gap issues and bouncing issues, there are plenty of fixes for that.
