TC on these cars is useless. It can easily be "overpowered" so I wouldn't waste my time. I don't think TC is a replacement for good driving skills anyway.
Have you modded the car at all? How long have you had it? Learning to launch it is deff a requirement of any vehicle. Wider stickier tires will deff help though
I believe everything other than 97 could. If you had a 97 GT you could switch it off...I overpowered mine just top swapped...with everything else done, it was useless.
I wasn't sure how the TC worked...just knew it was useless...if it were a DBW car, the PCM could close the throttle plate on you.
tc sucks. you dont want it. as far as i can tell it cuts engine timing when the wheels slip. ive been on hills in the snow, and the tc kicked in asap and i was pretty much stuck. the wheels failed to turn, and the engine sounded like i was on the rev limiter but it would only go up to 1500 rmp's.
if my wheels slip in the rain the car losses 80% of its power too.
95 is the older generation, (not the same) the 97-04 regal works just like a gp.
the facts still stand, tc and abs really suck in these cars, your better off without it. i turn my TC off if the road is wet at all. even if i need to make a hard start on to the highway. its off.
If your car had power Scotty, your TC wouldn't matter lol
