Adding factory fog lamps to 06 GP

Hey I have a question about adding the factory half moon fog lamp assemblies to an 04+ Grand Prix.

I used to have fog lamps on my old car and loved them! Unfortunatly my 06 was not equiped with them, it has about everything else I could want (ex fog lamps, sun roof, supercharged). The car was to good of a deal to pass up and I figured on day I could add them if I really wanted them.

Has anyone ever tried this or knows how to do it. I need to know what I need I know I need the marker/fog lamp assy, the stick in the car that controls them (perferably the one that has cruise/signal/fog all on one switch). If possible I would really like to wire it up to where the fog lamp light on the dash will light up when they come on. I'm not sure if the IP tells you also when the fog lamps are turned on like it does with everything else.

Thanks for any help and advice,

Erik...

I have two 04-08 fog/turn signals (right and left). I bought them on ebay for $50 shipped. I needed the wiring and never used the housings (they're sitting on my workbench in the garage). You'd need to fab up a wiring harness for the fogs. I just so happen to have the 880 series sockets, a lot of wire and a lot of wiring experience with automotive lighting. If you're at all interested PM me and maybe we could wire something up for you.

See I think that is what my father was saying I can do. Although I like having complete control(the problem...lol). I still have thought about hard wiring them and maybe running a switch.

You can wire the fogs how you want. If you wire them to the parking lamps then you can't turn them off unless the parking lamps are off (but on cars with stock fog lamps the parking lamps come on with the fogs anyway)...but if you're going out of your way to put fogs in why are you concerned about turning them off? Even so, you can wire them to come on with the parking lamps and run a switch as well...though it seems like it's more hassle than it's worth since you have to run the wires through the firewall and tear apart your dash to mount a switch.
