accelerator seizing up

I bought my 2001 Grand Prix GT 3800 series 2 used and it had been sitting for a bit and the accelerator is seized when I get into the car every morning the petal has to have a bit of pressure to stop the seizing.

I have tried penetrating oil but it doesn't fix it it help but only briefly

Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening?
