got in my 2000 grad prix yesterday and the ac/heater blower does not work on any setting! i tried turning it off switching it to defrost switching it to feet only going from hot to cold nothing! i can hear it changing from different positions but no air flow!
is this a commom problem on grand prixs ?! if so how do i fix it asap!

I'm sure with some searching you could have figured this out.

If no air flow, then the most common thing to come to mind is the blower motor, as that if what makes air move.

So check the fuse, if thats okay, then likely the blower motor died..

On some models resistor also blows. Usually it goes bad because the gasket that keeps the rain water from running off windshield right into air intake fails.

This is for 2004 GP but I think it's similar for 2000 as well: Sparky's Answers: 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, Changing The Cabin Air Filter scroll down to where it mentions water deflector, that's where the common problem exists.

The gasket itself is fine, they just won't stay where they are supposed to be and when they fall off, it's when water is allowed to pour into the intake and ruin the blower or resistor. Wet passenger side floor also indicates this problem.

In that case, I'd say you need to fix that gasket, and your resistor and blower motor are probably fried. Electrical components don't seem to like being wet for some reason...lol
