The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Has anyone done this, mine is bad and i dont wanna pay the 750 to have a shop do it, when i can get all the parts new for 300. Is it hard to put in????
you need a vacuum pump, and technically a way to scavenge the refrigerant. Make sure and flush everything good, replace the accumulator and orifice tube (no warranty without those anyway) it's pretty easy, get a pack of o rings just in case (only a couple of bucks and insurance for potential issues)
My dad and I actually did this to my car twice about a month ago. The first pump we got was bad so we had to pull it out again. It took about five hours but that included driving out to the shop to recharge the system. It will probably take longer for someone doing it on their own for the first time. My dad is certified at AC repair so it wasn't his first time doing it.
