AC compressor not coming off engine even with the 3 bolts removed

I feel like i'm missing something. It feels like their is another bolt holding it in but I checked 20 times and I got all 3 of em out. This is on a 03 3.8 for the record. I tapped on the compressor a few times with my mallet, don't wanna get to stupid with it since the AC blows ice cold and I want to keep it that way. Any tips?

If anyone remembers i'm the guy pulling my engine to replace the rear cover gasket. This was months ago but I got into a car accident that put me down for a little bit. I'm only getting back to the project now, I started it March!

Based as always guys, I might have been in the middle of a heat stroke but I didn't see any bolts from underneath. Any chances of a picture?

i have no pics of it, but its there, it bolts to the black and the back of the compressor, right where the lines bolts on, the bracket forms around its bolt iirc.

or maybe i do lol

Now i'm sure i'm having a heat stroke. I'm looking at that pic and i'm not seeing it. Are you talking about the one bolt that's going through that U bracket that the motor mount bolts on to?

Holy crap, how did I miss that? Thanks Scotty, seems like you are in every dumb thread I make.

The fixing of this car has turned from a thing I need to do to a thing i'm just doing to see if I can do it. I'd like to get it back on the road and give it to a family member or something. Heat is supposedly breaking next week. I'll give it another stab then. This is the absolute last thing before I unbolt the 3 bolts on top holding the engine to the trans and pulling it out. I hope ya'll are around when I make 100 dumb posts on trying to get the engine back in. From being away from it so long (and having a concussion from the accident) I don't remeber anything about what I unplugged. I took a look at the wire loom that I got flipped over the fender and have no clue where they all go lol.

dont worry about the harness. once the engine is back in, flip it over the engine and things tend to be with in 3 inches of their home.

and a egr plug wont fit anywhere else but a erg, or any other plug, they all fit one place only.

make sure you put the rear knock sensor harness on the sensor, then install the engine. or you'll be sorry later on lol

Is that what that pigtail is? Rear knock sensor? I have a 6 inch wire with a plug on each side and had no clue what it was for.

no, thats your temp sensor pig tail i bet, this is a single wire about a foot long, plugs on both sides, one side to the kr sensor, the other plugs in near the oil pressure sensor plug.

I guess ill see when I get the engine out. At the very least will see if my cheap harbor freight hoist can over come the tensile strength of any wire I missed!

oh, its still coming out, that harness is clipped to the back of the p/s pump, so when you pull the pump off, look for it, its on a metal clip, try not to break it.

Yeah I got that unclipped. I still cant get that loom that runs down the back of the engine on the passenger side. The best I can tell the wire keep it down that way is the O2 sensor wire, it runs under the heat shield and looks like way to much work to get it loose. I do have enough slack to pull the harness out of the way.
