ABS

Ok having trouble with my ABS system on my 04 GP GT. It started activating when making a slow right hand turn, and when it was cold it would go when I would first pull out and stop. So I replaced the hubs, the dirve axles and all that stuff, new struts all the way around, and new brakes and rotors. Now the abs light kicks on and the traction control goes off too. I cant seem to figure out what is going wrong. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I need to replace. Thanks.

Check the connections to the wheel speed sensors. It sounds like one of them is loose/corroded and is causing a bad connection. My 00GT just did this the other day after sitting in the garage for 3 days untouched. Cleaned both front connections and the ABS light went out as did the "trac off" light.

ok but both the hubs are brand new, and I cleaned them off before, and it was ok for awhile, then started acting up again. Do you think there could be something wrong with the ABS module that it keeps doing this? Also, is there a way to check the abs system to find out exactly what is going wrong?

I have a 04 gp gt also. It did the samething to the guy a bought it from. I told him fix it before I buy it. He took it to the mechanic and it was the wireing harness leading to the front tires. Not sure which side. But cost was about $150 I found the reciept in my car.

you can take the car to a shop and have them scan it, usually cost around 100 bucks for a diagnostic, unless they do the work to fix it. but they will be able to tell you what is wrong.

back hubs could be the problem as well, maybe clean the plugs on them, and a little dielectric grease on the blades and plug it back up. and check them for excessive play.
