ABS Wire

This might be a stupid question but is the ABS wire the wire that plugs into the wheel hub/bearing? If not where is the ABS wire located?

Yep, it's the small 2 wire harness that runs over the control arms in the front. Connects to the short pigtail that comes off the hub. Rears are similar except no control arm. Let me guess, you have an ABS light on?

Have you had it scanned by a shop that can read the ABS codes (i.e.- GM Tech II or similar)? That should point you in the direction you need to look vs. guessing at which corner(s) is giving you the issue. Sure, it may cost you some $$, but replacing unnecessary parts will cost you more. I went through this with my 00 GT and ended up replacing the drivers side front harness from the hub to the main harness and off went the light. I don't know what year your's is but it may have the 2 piece harness up front as well. My wiring was shot from where it connects to the hub to about 5" back into the harness.

If you have a multimeter you can set it to volts DC and then put the leads on each hub and then spin that wheel and see if the voltage increases as you spin the wheel. If it does, then you know that hub is sending a signal to the ECM and can work backwards from there. Not easy, but will eliminate the hubs as the cause.

My dad has a scanner for GM cars I'll take a look at that and then use your advice about the wheel hubs. Thank you!
