abs light on = hard turning

ok when the abs light is off it is easy to turn but when it come on it gets harder to turn the wheel. what could be the problem? the light is not always on just comes on some times and the tcs light comes on to.

Prob have a bad wheel bearing or u have a short in the wiring?
Try a scan tool and it could tell u were its coming from?

would it have to be a special scan tool or no?

yes, not just any scan tool can read abs codes. take it to the dealer and have them scan and give you the codes. do gtps have variable steering assist? if so maybe when the abs is on, the pcm switches to low assist causing hard turning?
