I sent my ABS controller out to a guy in the Richmond, VA area a couple years ago who rebuilt and returned it in a day or two. Seems like it was a standard rebuild charge for about $110 or so.

Anyone had one done recently with good results? Where are you getting them repaired? Mine is going bad again. Would like to do a core exchange, but .....
 


You do know you can pull and send yours out right and still drive the car.. It's just you won't have magnasteer for the time bein.

Yep... Just easier to leave it torn down while I wait for the part. May just do the exchange so I can get it done in one job.
 


Sorry for this revamp of an old post, but have reason.
I got sick and have been out of the loop for a few months and just replaced the ABS controller again. FYI, I ordered one with a core chg from my airbags.com off of eBay and got the wrong part, had to do an exchange, etc and all that hassle. In their defense, they advertise that you must verify the p/n before ordering, but there's really no way of doing that without removing the part. The point I'm making here is their eBay ad has an application chart that incorrectly lists a part number for the 2001 GTP THAT IS THE WRONG PART. I got tired of screwing around with it and got one from Rock Auto (yeah I know $$) and put it back good as new. So....if you have a GTP, buy it someplace else so you get the right part. I got full credit back less freight, but had to contact them several times to get my money back....
