ABS And Check Tire Pressure Lights Come On At Same Time???

I've got a '97 GTP and recently, for no apparent reason known to me, both the abs and check tire pressure lights come on, while driving, at the same time. It seems to steer harder when these lights are on, but that may be just me...lol. When you turn the car off, let it sit for whatever period of time, 15 mins. or 15 hours, start it up again, then both lights stay off for awhile. Sometimes they don't come back on for 2 miles, sometimes 20 miles. Nothing done to the car recently so I'm ruling out anyone messing with that area. Any ideas? Thanks.
 


You have a sensor going bad on one of your wheel bearings..in 97 you dont have a tps sensor the computer uses wheel spped to calculate a tire going down..more than.likely one of yiur front wheel.bearings or a abs wire is.lose or frayed coming off of the speed sensor..get a abs scanner and read the abs codes will help tell you what is happening...also, the vairiable effort steering is turned off when there is a problem with a sensor so that effects steering.

Ok, while you were responding, I did find a couple of threads on it and you're right. I'll look into it tomorrow and see if I can see anything and at the same time I'll clean up the wires and see what happens. I do have one of the OBD II scanners with ABS so I'll see what that tells me. Thanks for your help!
