a few questions regarding aftermarket stereos

I was recently given gf for best buy with 100 on it and wanted to buy a stereo with mp3 and maybe bluetooth, something to match the red interior lights. Is there any go to stereo or will any fit my car? How hard are these to install?

Also looking to buy speakers, i like the ones i have now but want a louder sound without feeling like im going to pop them. Is there something out there with good bass and a louder sound, not really looking to get anything more than that.

Oh boy are you opening a can of worms here. ....Yes there are better speakers and radios to be had without question. But your $100 gift card isn't going to do it . The sky is the limit here when going aftermarket stereo. You can spend from $250 to $25000 on equipment. It is all up to you how much you want to spend. First go to your local Best Buy and listen to speakers and play with the headunits and see what you like. In other words do some shopping. Find a local car stereo store and go and listen to some of their equipment and ask questions. Best Buy is not the place to ask questions though.
Like I said the sky is the limit. It all depends on your budget and what you like .
 
I replaced the factory stereo on my '08 almost four years ago, and replaced the rear 6x9's with Kickers. Total cost about $200, no kidding. Don't let them tell you you have to spend a fortune. This assumes you aren't gonna put in subwoofers and separate power amps etc.
The stock factory radio is a prehistoric POS. Even a $55 Dual head unit from Amazon has USB and SD slots, as well as cd player, stereo plug input and twice the power output. Go to Crutchfield to see what adapters you need: wire harness, door chime module, ISO slot adapter etc. Then buy em cheap wherever, just get the right part numbers. Replacing the rear speakers is easy with the right tools: see Youtube video about getting the back seat out.
 
Mine was done before I got it, probably the worst aftermarket install ever done on one of these. they cut the original harness apart, wired only one speaker to the actual speaker, and put the switched +12v to the illumination circuit so the stereo came on when the headlights did... That was fun trying to get figured out. Now it's as good as it's going to get, works like anyone would expect a stereo to work. I did have to get a fuse tap for the ignition circuit, but I don't have a sunroof so there's no problems that could arise from there. IF you decide not to get an adapter harness or you cant find one to work with the head unit you purchase, I can post up the wiring diagrams to hook everything up properly and point you in the right direction BEFORE you cut into anything. Save you the headache I had to deal with.
 
just make sure you spend the xtra money for a "nice" deck. one that has built in xover 4volt preout and sub level control if you plan on adding a sub stage.
