A/C not blowing hard enough out of the vents

I have been working on my a/c for a while now and I have a couple of more questions. I hope this is the last info I will need. I have very little air blowing out of the vents, I took out the a/c motor and got a handful of leaves out of it. First question, what is the best way to get to the evaporator core to clean out the debris from in front of it? Next question, My a/c will not turn off at the control panel and it also will not swap over to defrost or any other position it only blows out of the front vents, any ideas?

once you take the motor out, you can reach into the plenum and remove any other large debris then use a shop vac to finish cleaning it out.
one thing that can happen though is if the evaporations core has a leak, the oil in the AC system will attract dirt and clog the core. And replacing the core means disassembling the entire dashboard.

it sounds like you have other issues too with your blend door controls and maybe even the blower resistor.

When testing.. give the system time to react. IIRC 40 seconds was what they typically set the system to. So once you switch modes.. give it like two minutes to move before you assume it's not working.
