99 GTP vs 89 CRX turbo?

Guy I know keeps telling me his car gets 44mpg in town and can beat anything on the road. I have a 99 GTP with no mods, unless you call having a 3" downpipe with no cat a mod, haha. He's got a 89 CRX with turbo. He says his car can do 280hp but with turbo it can do like 330hp. Is any of this fact or fiction? I've read mine has 220hp.

you probably put down a little less than 200 at the wheels.
ok. on to this crx guy. he must have a really modded crx because stock....those cars are weak.
the highest hp engine was rated at 108 hp in the US.
who knows. race him and find out.
 
CRX is super light and he would be able to beat you on low boost just due to power to weight ratio if he is indeed turboed. He could be GSR swapped too and it would be an even uglier outcome.
