My name is jonny b Im new to the forum but not to gtps . My gtp has a problem i was to work and it wouldn't let the sc kick in. I knew my belt tenisoner was bad so replaced that and the belt . Still same problem. I changed the wires and coils still nothing . I havent changed the plugs do to Im sure its not the problem since i will rev in park great and then go to take off and try to get boost and it pjust seems like its getting kr or something in those lines . It kicks a code po300 random misfire. I have put 3 bbv on and the same problems
I have turned the hoses to the opposite sides and it will boost but by far not what its pose to be. I have a few hoses that do need to get fixed but my question is why will the bbv work one way and not the other any help will be great thanks .

Really?

Ever think that your flashing SES light from those random misfires might be a cause of a problem??

Maybe pull your plugs and seee what they look like and change them.

Are you modded in anyway too?

3.5 pulley zzp pcm tuned headers full msd pace setter exhaust ported sc .obviously i seen the ses i have my matco scanner with me and i know what a misfire is and it wasn't. Any how plugs look good . I don't drive it now till i pull some lines off the gs . I've read so many posts and this is a common problem. I've had 8 gtps and a gs and never had a.problem at all . I just need to get a place to start. I really don't want to take it to my in laws shop cuz i still get charged for towing. Should i focus on vacuum or would it be more then that ? No codes will come up if i switch the air lines around on bbv . I rather have it the right way since Im not getting the boost . Why would it work that way other an not the right way?

Does "full msd" mean coils and wires??

If so, throw them in the garbage and go back to stock, they love to cause misfires and its a known problem with them on these cars.

Like SD said, check all vacuum lines

Also its worth a shot to unscrew the upstream o2 sensor and stick a pressure gauge in there and look to see how much pressure you get. All cars with free flowing exhaust and unclogged cat converters will make less than 1psi of back pressure.

Yea i already got stock back on and sold my old coil packs for what i payed for them. I just took the ones off the gs they have like 1500 miles on them. I have 8 mm on the gs should i go to stock with those ? I still have the msd n those are 8.5 mm so i figured it wouldn't make a difference since they worked good on the gs. Yea i will pull all the vacuum lines off . I had to put the gs in the garage do to the cold and breaking rubber and plan on pulling the motor this weekend then to the crusher and getting some more space back . Thanks for the tips will update to see what happens.

Gtpshawty hit it right on the head . I went over the whole vacuum system repaired what was needed was ok but not the same. Changed the Icm was good . Then the plugs its great now. This forum is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
