'99 GT weird problems

Hello, new member here, have a '99 GT. Every day when when I drive it the engine will stumble for a split second and the the "trac off" light will come on and the tach goes dead, can't see anything else not working, also when it does this engine runs but will knock and ping if I accelerate. Also if I'm idling at a light when this happens the engine will stall. Stays this way until I shut it off, then when I restart, everything is back to normal, tach works, 'trac' light goes out, engine doesn't knock. Could this be a ECM problem? seems like unrelated symptoms.

Is your check engine light on at all?

sounds like a crank sensor and a separate abs issue.

Check engine light is on, can't remember what the code is, I might go check it again.

The code/codes would be helpful. And I agree with Scott the tach dropping to zero is usually a sign of the crank sensor going bad.
