98 Silverado pcm tune

So my lil brother just dropped a ton of money on a 383 for his pickup, now he's wanting to get the pcm tuned to get it to run right after it warms up. Prefer someone local (iowa) or nearby anyway so it doesn't have to spend a week in shipping.
If anyone can help let me know and I will pass on your contact info/vise versa.

Whats different?

If the sensors and fuel system is the same, it should run okay.

if the TB is larger you might want to adjust the PE engage and such.

But other than that, it should work okay.

I think it's got something to do with the cam timing. Right now it's advanced 4 degrees, which is screwing with the knock sensor along with a couple other things.

Did he degree the cam or something ?

The motor was built at Horn in Cerdar Rapids, all he told me was they intalled the cam 4 degrees advanced, and now it's wreaking havoc with the knock sensor, which effects everything else in order.

Jesse Bubb over at Wait4MePerformance.com is really good to deal with, and has FAST service. He specializes in GM vehicles. You can either buy a complete tuned computer from him, or send him yours with return shipping payment, and he will tune it and send it back same day pretty near.

Like I said, awesome guy to deal with. 90% of us (over at s10planet.com) use him for custom tunes. Not one bad thing to be said about him.

You can do a youtube search for wait4meperformance and see some of the tunes he's done. He did my 05 Jimmy, $200 for a complete computer tunes and shipped.

I should also note that if your brother puts a plate on it (Nitrous) later on in the future, or changes something, modifies something, adds something.....send the PCM back to Jesse with a return shipping payment, and he will tune for that modification for FREE.
