Well i was wondering if i should keep my factory CD player in the dash and spend money on other upgrades?Here is my idea i want to add pre amps to the factory radio and maybe a aux out or whatever to use a Ipod if desired.I dont think the steering wheel controls work unless i am not doing something right but thats not a real big deal to me but what goes out on them? I would like to upgrade all the speakers in the factory locations I dont know if i want to just power these with the factory headunit or not I have a MTX 50/4 laying around?I know it will be more complicated to run 2 amps with the add on pre amp outputs but idk how hard? I could run the amp in low pass if needed?I have 2 alpine type R's 12's and a bigger 2 channel MTX RT2600 for subs.Usually with just the factory stereo to the fronts it always distorts when you get to turning it up so i am thinking about using the 4 channel.But with the 2 alpines in the trunk i dont want them to beat on my 6by9's i have always gotten better bass with the 6 by 9's left open. What do you guys think?
