Ok this is going to be kind of a long one...
So a kid i just graduated high school with saw that i got a GTP and he asked if id run a few with him to see how we'd do, so i agree and he wanted to do it tonight.
He has a 2008 honda civic SI, when i asked him if he has any mods, he replied "not much" (typical D-bag reply) its a manual, has exhaust, and some underglow, thats all i know for sure! haha so we go to this backroad that a little bit longer than a quarter mile, perfectly straight, so we line up from a stop, his buddy flags us....i launch better then i usually do, and quickly pull and destroy the civic by A LOT, not going to guess car lengths because i dont know but it wasnt close at all....so he pulls up n says he "jammed 2nd gear" i say ok whatever lets line em up again....so we do and this time my good buddy pulls up beside us in his 02 nissan maxima 3.5, same result with the civic, beat the maxima by about a car and 1/2.... and then the civic pulls up and says alright man you got me good race.
so that was a good night.
back to the 1st night i got the car, about 3 weeks ago....30 mins from my house, all highway. on the way home i was just hoping to get a taker on the highway...no such luck. so ive given up as i pull off the highway and pull to a major 4 way stoplight about 2 miles from my house...(its midnight, not to many cars out) there is a jeep in the left lane at the light so i go to the right, i look over and its a friend of mine in his new jeep (05 jeep grand cherokee, hemi AWD with exhaust and some custom SRT intake or something not sure) so he turns his music down n were chattin about the car and he says lets run em man, and im like **** alright.....so i turn traction off, turn performance shift on....(this is my first time ever racing a GTP) so the light turns green and me being a rookie i punch it and spin the tires ALL the way through the intersection, then get traction and pull 1 car on him for about 4 seconds and then i put on the brakes and he flew by. pretty good race, but i think if we re did it now that i know how to launch, id win by more.
