the BCM will not enter programming mode for me to program remote. the only other anomaly is It will appear accept lock mode change to 4, but after fuse is installed, it is still in mode 3. otherwise all the car goodies function fine. When I do the acc off back on quickly to enter remote program mode, it sits there and digs once, twice, three times and repeats a couple time before stopping, that doesn't seem like a valid trouble code as far as i can tell. I programmed a remote okay a year ago, now i have the above issues, even with new remote.

So the question is, if I buy the AC delco unit, will it install and allow me to program it, or is some factory scan tool needed? what scares me, is on the rockauto website, the Cardone make of BCM says some factory programming is required, but no such info for acdelco
 


I got a reply from Cardone on another forum, they confirmed dealer programming is required for theirs and ACdelco brand. Since my first post I realized there is a key fob receiver module that could be bad as well. Found good deal on NOS on ebay, if that doesn't fix things I will go aftermarket keyless entry.
