The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Any suggestions for safely removing the tranny at the junk yard? The heads are gone so using the engine supports for supporting the block are out of the question.
If it's in the air.
I'd unbolt the starter, TC to flex bolts and then undo the subframe mounts. This is going to have the struts and stragglers like trans lines holding it up. Cut the trans lines ahead of time since you want it. Then let the strut tower nuts go and it'll drop down.
Undo the diff to engine bracket, backwards trans bolt and the 4 bolts holding trans to engine and the trans mount. Wiggle off and run.
torque converter. The motor's flex plate attaches to the torque converter of the transmission and all your power from the engine is transmitted through three bolts. BTW.. they are 18mm and using a screwdriver to hold the flywheel is the best solution if you are alone.
