97 to 99 tranny swap

I was wanting to swap my worn out transmission in my 99 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with a low mileage one out of a 97 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. However I noticed the 97 has a vacuum modulator and my 99 doesnt. Question is what all do I need to do to make this work? Or should I locate a later model tranny for my car. I have the wrecked 97 sitting in my field for any parts I might need for this swap. Any and all opinions are welcomed. Thanks!
 


don't even try to make it work. the 97 tranny out of the GTs suck. and they're vacuum controlled like u said, ours are electronically controlled.
find u another, sir.
 
97 trans missions are ****, and will not work at all with your car, unless you swap pcms and other stuff, find a 98-02 trans
