97 to 02 engine swap

Just like the title says. I'm gonna eventually swap my 97 gtp motor into my 2002 gt. or should i just top swap for higher compression. What do i need to complete this?

If it's just a straight up swap w/o mods etc. You need to change the alternator bracket and alternator, evap purge valve and evap switch.

am i gonna have to get the 02 pcm tuned since i cant use the 97 one?

you need the same yeaar pcm to the motor

so if i use the 02 block but top swap from the 97 i can use the 97 pcm..?

If you do a top swap you will need a top swap tune.
