The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
What would cause hard up shifts? The trans doesn't slip but when it shifts through the gears it kinda jerks, especially when it shifts into fourth and convertor lockup. My motor mounts are bad but it feels more like a trans issue than the motor mounts
If you have a known issue with engine/trans mounts, that should be taken care of first. You could have enough movement to cause the feeling of a hard shift condition.
Otherwise, check trans fluid condition. If it's looking poor, I'd get the filter and fluid changed with some Dex III or Dex VI...whatever you prefer...and some Lucas trans additive.
I totally agree with you, I had my trans flushed yesterday (was too lazy to do it myself) there was no change in shifts. But the problem is intermittent. If it was motor mounts I would believe that the problem would be consistent right?
I would agree with you there. Put some Lucas in it and drive it about 50 miles. See if the problem ceases.
EDIT: You may have a sticking pressure control solenoid. No, it won't throw a code. Lucas should fix it if that's what it is. Otherwise, you might have a valve body or internal seal leak issue.
I have found that trans-x works better for getting stuck solenoids to work than Lucas. Lucas definitely is better for slipping issues. That's just my .02 and what I have found tho.
