97 GTP high beam indicator light issue on heads up display from LED headlight bulbs?

I recently installed LED headlight and fog light bulbs into my stock housings on my 97 GTP. I also installed an aftermarket head unit at the same time. Now my high beam indicator light is always on/randomly flickering on and off, even when the high beams aren't on. This high beam indicator light issue is only on the heads up display, not my gauge cluster. I noticed yesterday when I turned my headlight switch to the on position during the day, the high beam indicator light issue went away. It doesn't matter at night whether I have the headlight switch set to auto or I turn it to on, the issue is there. During the day when the lights are off, I don't have the issue. Maybe the light sensor on the dash is related, maybe it was just a random act yesterday. I dunno. Hopefully somebody here has some tips to help me troubleshoot this issue. This issue 100% started the day I installed the LED headlight, fog light bulbs, and head unit. The bulbs are the right size. The head unit is wired properly. I'm thinking maybe this issue is from the LED bulbs using a different voltage than the stock bulbs.

fog lights are grounded through the low beam headlight circuit so that when high beams are on, power is applied to the ground side of the fog lamp circuit and the fogs turn off. When the low beams are on, isn't enough of a voltage drop through the LEDs and some current leaks through, causing the dash indicator to illuminate every so dimly. It's on even in the daytime, you just can't see it. it doesn't cause any issues, so there's really nothing to troubleshoot.
