97 GT A/C question

Greetings all,
I need to change the High Side valve on the wife's GT (I can see it leaking) but am having trouble finding the correct part nomenclature.
It looks like a schrader(?) valve but haven't been able to get some definite info on the correct part.
Thanks in advance.

They carry them at the parts store in a little kit. You can use a bicycle valve tool to get them out. Keep in mind that at rest the pressure behind the valve is 80 psi and assuming the oh aren't going to recover the coolant will come out with some force if you don't slowly depressurize the system. You could always use a cap that has a seal on it, I've don't that in the past to hold us over to the not summer months.

Thanks Jeff,
The one on the low side is like that but the one on the high side looks different. If you take the cap off, it looks like a ball and it takes quite a bit of force to get it to release any pressure. You can see the freon bubble around it.
I've seen the ones you talk about but can't really tell which to get. I'm aware of the pressures and the potential dangers.
Thanks again.

Oh, that's right. The high side one screws off and you replace it as an assembly, it still comes in a kit. It should have a green or blue looking "ball" in it. It is other has 2 flats or a hex.
