97 Grand prix won't start... Need help... BAD...

Im new to this site... and i've owned two gtx 2 doors 1 gt 2 door and Now a new 97 GT. My wife has been driving it now and the other day it didn't want to start... I turned the key and nothing... lights come on radio comes on... So i think... starter.. Changed it and still wont even turn the starter over... What could be wrong? What do I need to check? any help would be great...

Welcome. Sorry to hear. Could be something wrong in the ignition system not sending any juice to your starter. Just a thought, ive heard or that happening to cars sometimes.

check your grounds, start with the neg battery terminal.

Back to basics..

Check for fuel, check for spark.

could be crank sensor, but I woudln't throw parts at it without some testing

checked everything today and nothing... If i cross over the starter it will start and stay running... as long as the key is on...

hmm power wire from starter sounds bad

I checked all the starter wires and they are all hot.. So its getting juice to the starter tho...

Update on the car... I can now start the car with the key and later on in the day it will stop working again... Does this give anyone any hints yet? thanks...
