97 GP GT ignition key wont turn back after start...

Igition key wont turn back and is stuck past "ON" but before "START" just enough that starter wont engage again. I had to pull fuel pump fuse to kill it.....Does anyone have an idea whats wrong or what I should do??:(
 


More than likely your shifter button isn't releasing all the way. Try to pull the button out and then try your key.
