I know people have said they did it with very little work -anyone want to fill me and the rest of the crew in on how you did it?
I have gone through 2 pairs of stock 5.25's this summer with just a Pioneer DEH-P7600MP and no amps. I have had a new set of Infinity 6020CS components sitting here for 2 yrs and would like to put these in to take care of business and to get a little more for mids up front.

Any info/tips/links would be greatly appreciated.

not shure about 6.5" but I put 6" componets in with a little trimming to the stock plastic housing and some metal on the door. I think 6.5" will be very tight with the larger magnet.

i bought some q=logic kicks... o2 audio 5.25 neo mids, fosgate fnq tweets on some oz audio xovers... powered by a kicker amp

Yeah, don't kid about that stuff, my car got stolen a couple weeks ago... 2 brand new Q15's and an m-2000 along with all of my other stuff was gone when they found it. But on a lighter note mine had 6.5's I just made my own plate for them to mount on.

It was someont that knew I kept a spare key in the little cubby, i haven't seen the car in person but I have no clue how they got in...

In the chat area this topic came up, I had a set of 5 1/4" comps to put in, Matt mentioned about going with 6 1/4's coaxials. Curiousity got the best of me, went and bought a set, they speaker already had holes to fit a 5 1/4" mount. All I had to do was grind away a bit on the top (of mount) for the 6 1/4 to fit, and that was it.
