Resently bought a 96 gp gtp. The engine light is on and had it checked. It is showing to be the secondary smog emisions pump or secondary air injection system. Was told buy a few people that it is not really nessacery to have. Is that true. Is this something that is should fix asap. Is there any symtoms i should look out for. Thanks

I dont know about on a GP but I had the air pump go out on my f-150 and just ran a smaller belt and it worked out fine.
