hey this is my first post on this forum i am new, anyways i have a 95 grandprix se with the 3.4 DOHC and im having problems with it dying almost everytime i hit the brakes it literally shuts off right away and the ABS and PARKING light always turn on when it happens im wondering if it has anything to do withthe ABS system or what??? if you have had this problem or know where i can start troubleshooting that would be great. thanks

Start with the simple stuff...check all your grounds under the hood. It might be something as dumb as a broken ground from the engine to the bulkhead. Chassis grounds are commonly overlooked because they're typically difficult to see. Make sure your positive battery connection is also clean and tight. GM and their stupid side post batteries can cause a lot of stupid issues. The ABS light on my 97 Grand Prix was due to a corroded ground causing voltage to the ABS module to drop below 11 volts. Also, check for vacuum leaks. The brake booster may be leaking causing a massive vacuum leak that the vehicle cannot compensate for, thus causing the vehicle to stall.

Also, the mods might not be happy that your first post is in the help section instead of the introduction section. I'm not entirely sure. You might want to post some info about yourself over there, too, just in case.
