95 Monte Carlo Z34 Rear Sway Bar in 00 GTP

So I was sway bar hunting at junkyards today (picked up a Dorman Front with bushings for $22), and bumped into a fellow member on this board, and he recommended something for my rear sway bar. The yard had a 1995 Z34 Monte Carlo, and the rear sway bar is 22MM (checked it with my caliper). Ironically, there was a 97-03 GP GT right next to the Monte, so we pulled the bar off, and held it up to the GP, and it looks like it might actually work. So I picked it up, along with all the hardware holding it to the car, hoping this will be a good upgrade and I don't need to buy end links. Anyone ever done this before or have any input on it?

Make sure to mount it to the struts first. The ONLY potential possible issue is width, should b ok though :)

I'm gonna mount the struts first, then mock up the brackets, move the sway bar by hand a bit to check for clearances, then drill out the 2 side holes and bolt the bracket down. Then I'll take it to a shop I live by and have them weld the bottom tab of the bracket. I think that should work, as long as I have all the clearances and such.

Not happening, the bar isn't wide enough. It won't reach from strut to strut, so it's a no go. Now I'm on the hunt for a local GMPP bar again.
