the truck is my new to me chevy has a 350 700r4 with shiftkit

I know i want to do
headers
CAI of some kind
Maybe a Jet chip
Tires will need to be on the list but i still have time on them
any input here

Just saw the first post... that Interior is clean! which is rare for that year and model (work truck with carpet... yes they made them that way too.)... wow grey interior thats clean... thats something else!

I too got a project truck, its the "What you have a truck?... I need something hauled.." Project. 79 GMC heavy-half 2WD, the locals love it!

Yea when i went to look at the truck and saw the condition and mileage I was somewhat amazed
The carpet is pretty abused but it doesnt matter
I just want to pep it up a bit she runs strong and sounds good though 132,000 miles isnt bad for a 16 year old truck

Well if i just put headers and hptuners and dont get the alky injection for the gtp ill have around 900 for the truck but I dont know if I wanna go big on it or just keep it mild and cheap

Yeah for 132K it looks nice! I myself would just let it be... the only thing I did to mine was replace the exhaust. From the exhaust manni to out front of the rear tires $245. It had single exhaust on it with a CherryBomb, sounded like crap.
 


Im leaning towards shorts headers intake mani and tires and maybe a chip
Kinda wanna research it a bit pacecrappers are pretty cheap for shortys
summit makes an intake thats pretty cheap

Then ill be done with it
then again i said all i was gonna do to the gtp was exhaust and 3.4 pulley drop and supporting mods so who knows

If I was going to turbo it, it'd be an all out build.

Not really interested in that for my DD especially since its wrong wheel drive.

However... a 4th gen F body with a turbo sounds about right.:th_thumbsup-wink:
 
im not 100% positive but im pretty sure it is a direct swap. yea i think you need the whole vortec top end to make it work.

is yours the tbi 350??
