'92 GTP M-284 ECT/CTS sensor

First off, I would like to say that I just happened upon this site, and look forward to searching, learning, and (where I can) contributing. Now, to get to the point. I am wondering, has anyone changed out the ECT/CTS sensor on the 3.4 Twin Dual Cam outta the GTP's? The "book" says that I have to remove the plenum/intake manifold, and all that it entails. I am wondering if anyone has attempted to replace the ECT without removing the plenum, and if there is anything I should know. The issue is, that I don't have a garage, shop, or the time to get into too long of a job (it's getting a lil cold out in VT). Thanx in advance for the help.
