92 GP Electric fans won't turn on... HELP Please

Ok I bought this 1992 Grand Prix off eBay last week for 400 bucks. looks good runs good. I was told when I picked it up the cooling light is malfuctioning and there is nothing wrong with it.
A few days later I found out in fact both the electric fans don't work. secondary dosn't turn on with the AC and the primary never turns on at all.

I pulled the fans out and put 12v to them and they spun just fine.

All the relays under the hood say right on them 3.8l. My car is a 3.1L and none of them say that.

I was told that the water temp sensor was located about 3" below the radiator fill cap on the side.
there is a small 1" square sensor there with a wiring plug. No power going to it at all.
I picked up a water temp sensor and it's nothing like what I have there.
The one I got for my car looks like it screws into the block or something.

Soo now I am really confused.

Please Help me soooooon lol

Thanks guys/gals

Look under the passanger side of the hood ad the fuse center there on the passanger fender to get a temp fix for the fans. You can pull one or both or the fan relay's and ground out pin 86 on the relay's. To ground the pin out you can run a wire from the pin to any body bolt or engine bolt and it will be a temp fix for the problem. I had a 92 and sold it for my 2002 gt. I got tired of going through trans's

Could have been a used rad out of a different model. Is there any plugs you can find that are not connected?

Hey wow found pin 86 and ran a thick wire from it to a body bolt and the fan now runs full blast when the key is in the on position.
I took it out for a run and the temp never went above 220. GRRRREAT thanks
19se92 you knocked that out of the park.
