Hello,
I bought a grand prix that will crank but won't start. The guy before me tested the spark plugs, compression, fuel injectors. He believes it is the timing. I got #1 to TDC on the exhaust phase by lining up the crankshaft damper markings according to the service manual. The front camshaft timing marks are in the correct spots, but the rear ones are not. I also cannot move them.
Am I going about this all wrong? Do I need to get to the primary timing chain or something?
