I had just recently bought a new pair of Halo HID projector headlights off ebay. The Bulbs in the headlights are 8000k. I was told i need to have a relay harness installed in order to improve the life of my bulbs and to remove the "flicker". I dont know exactly what relay i need because i see there is more than one. Im new to the forum and am not sure where to go from here. Also is there anything more that the relay does other than remove the flicker and bulb life? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The link at the bottom is the set i bought.

The relay wiring kit helps power your HID system. I have heard people use HID's without the extra wiring harness and some are good stories some are like yours. What the kit does is draw power directly from your battery and does not use your existing wiring to power your HID's. I will try to look at my relay tomorrow and see if I can get a number off it, but if I were you I'd see if you can find a premade harness. It will be much easier to install and cleaner. Here's an example of one. I am not sure how universal the plugs are from one HID kit to another, but for $15 it was a no brainer.

HID Kits, BMW Aftermarket Bumpers & Lighting, DEPO - DDM Tuning

This harness wires directly to your battery (or I hooked mine up to my aux port on top of the main fuse panel under the hood) with an inline fuse and relay. one plug goes to your existing headlight plug which sends a signal to your relay to provide power to your ballast from your battery.

Hopes this makes sense and is not babble.. LOL and if I am wrong or missed something, someone else provide input.
