probably a stupid question... but I probably cant switch to the 8 rib belts unless I have the 8 rib crank pulley too right? ordered the 8 rib conversion kit and then remembered the crank pulley...

yep, crank pulley is necessary.

hope you got the good one, not the one that ZZP machines two extra grooves in.
