6-speed 4T65 conversion via valve body/gearset mods; anyone done this?

I saw on the Powertrain Control Solutions website that they offer an aftermarket valve body that turns a 4L80 truck transmission into a 5/6-speed automatic, by engaging the overdrive solenoids. What I'd like to know is: has anyone done the same for the FWD gearboxes as well? The PCS rep I talked to hasn't heard of anything... but he did also say that they generally develop computer systems, not the oily bits! And can the gearsets in the 4T65 be modified, for that matter?

that would be a full manual valve body. where you have to shift it. if you put it in drive its in 3 rd gear. never heard of it being done to a fwd tranny. could be because its chain driven? and the chain cant take the beating your gonna give it.

my brother had a 600 hp big block on a th400 and 4.11 gears. if you shifted it off the gas and going slow, under 10 mph, it still chirped the tires and bucked the car hard.

my mother rode in the car once. once. she told him to get it fixed lol it killed her back.....

I just talked to Triple Edge Performance; he said the 65 isn't engineered to do that at all! :th_crying2: So... on to the next plan...

if your looking for strength. 4t80e

What all is involved in replacing an M15 4T65E with a 4T80E? Also: what's involved in just merely fitting a TAPShift 4T65HD and making it work... aside from the obvious gearbox swap? I've already got the paddle shifters & backing panel for the steering wheel, and can get the floor shifter, but what BCM, PCM and wiring changes will I need, and will the TAPShift work without the stability control?
