What is the top speed the trans is capable of? Lets say I took my car over 140 where will it stop? physical limitation or grenading

A better question is what are your tires rated to?

looks like 149 from Uniroyal's site.

But I don't like going above 110. The question is what is the most possible speed these stock transmission can achieve before hitting a physical limitation or grenading Not what will happen when I go that fast.

in excess of 149 mph, 240 km
Not trying to be a dick just trying to make the point that I HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF GOING THAT FAST.

Car won't shift into overdrive (4th) in Wide Open Throttle, you have to let off to make it shift. But depending on gear ratio, the Bonneville that ran at the Salt Flats ran 207mph I believe.

I've had a 2.93 geared car up over 140mph a couple times, and at 130mph for an extended period of time.
Still on the stock tranny, When it came time to do a street build, 4th gear shaft was on it's last legs. :th_king-normal:

Is that what is in my car "2.93"? 3.29 came in the GTP correct?

Your car probably has 3.05 gearing if its the stock gt tranny and theoretically it will go to 210 and that would be at ~6,000 rpm in 4th

With 3.29's (built obviously and a built engine) I was doing 145mph without realizing it one day. The motorcycle dude face told me it was time to look at the HUD. Had plenty of pedal left.

The transmission itself and it's point of failure really depends on the trans and the fluid. If the fluid temp spkes, you are going into limp mode. If the trans has a flaw...you are going to break. Those are likely the first limiting factors. PCM programming obviously has to be modified to go over the stock limiters etc.
