4-1 and 3-1 downshifts

I have a triple edge performance trans with Intense input shaft, HD diff and 3.29 gearing. I just got it in 750 miles ago. I broke it in for the first 450 miles, then i started doing some pulls here and there. The other night i did a run with my friends g8 gt from a 60 roll. I believe it was a 4-2 downshift and today i was messing around with some random 3.4" pulleied regal. That time i did a 4-1 downshift twice. Before i keep rambling...how bad do you think 4-1, 4-2, and 3-1 downshifts are on a built trans?

i do enjoy the 4-2 downshift, but i NEVER let my car do a 4-1 or 3-1 downshift. i always let off when it went for it because i was scared of it. however, yours is built and im not sure what your deal is..?

You have a point but, i just want to see what everyone thinks. I mean, i spent a big chunk of change on the trans and install, i want to make sure it lasts :th_thumbsup-wink:

Same here, and i beat on it. It's been taking the 3-1 downshifts without a problem for like 1000 miles.
