3800 s/c knocking noise or piston slap

i rebuilt my 3800 s/c because somehow i put a valve rod thru a piston and it landed under the s/c in the intake manifold hmmmm.... but anyways its back up and running bored 30 over could this noise be piston slap? noise is only at higher rpm. could the 30 over cause a lose in boost because the added space and would a smaller pulley fix it? also has new trans and torque converter

Wrong section, this really should be posted in the L67/L32 section....

Anyway a few questions, was the block Line honed when you had it machined? what size Pulley are you running atm, what other engine mods are you running, is your PCM tuned or stock? what condition are the rotors in the SC in? what other work was done to the engine and SC?

the more info you can give us the better people can help you

yes it was line honed and pistons are over sized. s/c is fine take the belt off and the noise is still thereits in the back cylinders. i am running the stock pulley i could probably drop a size to et the boost back but im trying to figure out the noise all clearances were good everything is brand new.sry about the wrong section new to this site

new lifters? new rods? rockers loose? stock rockers? weak spring since it is only at a higher rpm? MORE INFO.
