hey! anyone have suggestions on what I should do to my gtp first? not alot of money. I know that i'm going to start with exhaust, any idea on what set I should get?
new to the site! what is the right section then?

1.9 Modifed Rockers
Intake of some sort
A tune and pulley drop at that point.
A good start to having a soild 13 sec car on the cheap.
^ go headers its the same price as dp and 1.9 modified rockers require larger springs. Do roller rockers if you decide to do any valve train mod or cam. for the intake just get a air filter cone from autozone and put it on the throttle body. OPEN CONE FTW
then a tune and maybe a modular pulley system from zzp.com
Not so much, You wont net bigger gain's from headers as your would 1.9's and a downpipe. Header's are not really even needed IMO intill you start knocking on 300whp.
There is no way I'd touch a set of 250 doller headers. Pacesetter's are about as crappy as I'd buy.
Modifed 1.9 Rocker's DO NOT require larger springs. If so I've been doing it all wrong and the modifed rocker car that's been running 12's on stock springs with 170,000 miles on it for the last 2 year's in my driveway is a myth as well. I've had roller rocker's and they are about a waste of money if your trying to build a cheap quick car. Not to many people can swallow the 500 dollar's for them when you can do the same thing for a lot less.
thats just stupid, hes trying to increase his hp and tq SAFTELY, so your telling him "hey run a 3' DP, moddified rockers, and 3.4 setup. Great you hhave no outflow mods mean back pressure that can realease which mean BOOM! You wouldnt touch a pair of headers that cost less then 250? haha we dont all have money but all want to mod, have you seen every pair of headers ever made for our cars? have you installed every pair of ebay headers for our cars? probably not, so dont say you wouldnt do this or wouldnt do that. thats an opinion which is what the forums are about but he wants to mod saftely and smart. your running 1.9 moddified rockers with stock springs? thats not a GREAT idea because of valve floating after 6200 rpms is not a myth but has happened to people on this forum.

lol, im not trying to be a dick and say you dont know anything but he should do gateway mods first.. so he can do quick other hp gains later like pulley drops
