• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

3800 knowledgebase Wiki

Winter is coming up, and I've got a feeling that I'll need something to do while I am hibernating. With forums disappearing, I wanted to salvage the knowledge that has been gathered over the years for w-body/3800's. I want to make this as big as possible.

A lot of information will come from the remaining forums, and I will attempt to give credit to the original information provider, where due. I will also re-write some out of date materials and update links where I find they aren't working.

If I can find a way to do it, I would also like to include a tune repository. I have no idea how to set that up, but I will look into it.

The basics of what I am looking to include would be:
How to performance mod
Year specific differences
Fluid information, Maintenance tips and intervals
Part numbers for harder to find items (SPO Grills, Roof Rails, Chrome trim rings)
Aftermarket part comparisons (For past and current parts)
Repair guides for common repairs
How to's for custom stuff (Projectors, Gauge light LEDs, Audio, ect.)

What else would you like to see in the wiki?

Any contributions will be appreciated, and I will share it with the forum when it is ready to go live.

Make it live now so everyone can edit and add stuff. Have some experienced people moderate the edits. You will get a lot more interest that way, if you need help setting up some stuff like the tune repo HMU.

I would be worried about people trying to troll or destroy it that way. I guess I could see how it goes. I was planning on it being more of an archive than a live/editable source.

I've dug through the threads for alot of 04+ stuff, including part numbers for all of the SE valences, and you already know about the FSMs I got up.

I second bringing it live ASAP, there's alot of experienced people on here that have already been moderator / admin and could help out with just about every aspect.
