3" DP to stock manifold

Ik this has been asked a million times, but I want to be 100% sure before I buy. Does a 3" DP connect to the stock manifold? Ik they decrease to 2.5" at the other end to fit the resonator. Thanks for your input. BTW it's a pacesetter DP that came with there header's if that makes a difference.
 


I'm confused, are you going to try to use a downpipe from a set of headers to bolt to your stock manifolds? That won't work at all.
 
The DP is from a set with pacsetter header's. I dont have the headers, just the downpipe. I can get a pic if you want.
 


Ok thanks. Another quick question, if I buy Speed Daddy or equivalent header's, can i still use my stock cat?
 
You could if you put a bottleneck into the piping with a 3" to 2.25" reducer and then did other nonsense to enlarge it back to 3". Personally though, it's easier to get a 3" cat.
 
Yes, u will need a 3" pipe that reduces to 2.25" , im going to use my stock cat with my new SD headers

Ok now one more question, I promise it's the last one. Will ZZP's 3" DP bolt to my stock manifold and resonator? The DP will be my first exhaust mod.
