3 button to 5 button DIC circuit boards

Has anyone ever tried swapping the 5 button panel, just the button circuit board onto the 3 button main circuit board. I'm doing the conversion now and while the circuits boards are different I wanted to know if anyone's ever tried taking the 5 button panel and plugging into the 3 button circuit board if it'd work. I'm going to try it but figured I'd ask first
 


Who does have a pic of a dismanteled 5 button DIC circuit board?
I am interested in the display connectors and differences to the 3 button version
